This coming weekend, on Saturday, 21 November 2020, the Democratic Alliance (DA) in North West hold its 2020 Provincial Congress to elect a new leadership team that will lead the Party in the province for the next three years.
The Congress will proceed virtually and delegates will be able to vote for new leaders making use of the internationally recognised online OpaVote platform. Seven hybrid venues have been identified to accommodate delegates residing in the vast rural areas of North West where network connectivity and electricity supply are erratic and unreliable. Strict Covid-19 protocols will be in place at all hybrid venues.
The Provincial Congress will also adopt the amended provincial constitution.
The call for nominations of candidates has closed. The positions and candidates up for election are:
